Graphic Design Internship Description
We are looking for creative and highly motivated Graphic Designers to join our team in Baltimore. The right candidate must display excellent design skills and communication and organizational abilities, along with the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.
This position demands someone detail-oriented, learns quickly, and can handle multiple tasks at once. In this role, you’ll be involved in some of our top business objectives, including creating visual assets, charts, infographics, social media campaigns, promotional videos as well as concepts and laying out marketing websites and landing pages, fulfillment/editorial newsletters, and reports, as well as creative ideas and refining branding for our products and services.
Responsibilities Include:
· Designing promotional video assets and corresponding online campaign webpages
· Designing publication websites, emails, and web banner ads
· Updating both online and printed publications and reports
· Creation of related visuals such as charts, logos, and report cover designs
· Researching, acquiring, and formatting stock photos for promo use
· Working closely with the Design and Video teams as well as copywriters, marketers, and editors
· Collaborate with the executive team to establish a new look and feel for our website
· Collaborate with product designers, product managers, and engineers to create engaging social media campaigns
· Use industry best practices and creative authority to deliver cutting edge visual experiences
· Partner with leadership to visually communicate product vision internally and externally
Requirements:
· Minimum Qualifications
-Web/Graphic Design or similar experience preferred
-Familiarity with Adobe CS (Illustrator, Dreamweaver, InDesign, Photoshop) & Microsoft Office
-Typography skills
-Creative problem-solving skills with a learning aptitude
-Exceptional attention to detail and organization
-Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high standards
-Capable of following instructions and taking constructive design feedback
· Preferred Qualifications
o A relentless eye for detail and an obsession for delivering delightful end-user experiences
o A deep understanding of visual design fundamentals including composition, color palettes, typography, iconography, etc.
o Leader and self-starter with strong attention to detail and organization, including the ability to prioritize tasks, communicate progress, and meet deadlines
o Excellent visual and written communication skills
o Enthusiasm for working in a highly collaborative environment with team members who may be co-located or remote
